Here’s a guide to help you in planning your trip to Marina Bay Sands!
Singapore is undoubtedly the most finest & the cleanest city I have ever been to. It is a combination of both art & nature in the form of beautiful skyscrapers as well as parks & gardens. You will also find people of different ethnicities residing here making it a diverse international city.
Singapore is also easily accessible through the MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) train system which covers all the tourist attractions just beyond walking distance from the stations. You can also buy an EZ-Link Card at any MRT station, which you can re-fill with money to make your transportation more easier.
The Perfect Itinerary – Marina Bay Sands
When to visit
It’s summer all year round in Singapore, still I would recommend you to visit during the year end between October and December, it might rain in these months but its also comparatively cooler than the other months.
Major Attractions to Visit In Marina Bay Sands
Marina Bay Sands Skypark
Marina Bay Sands is the most amazing hotel in Singapore having spectacular overlooking panaromic views of the city. It has a huge boat shaped structure floating at the top, not literally floating. It’s highly recommended to visit during sunset time so you can see the transition of the city which lits up in the night. It is truly the prettiest view when the buildings are all lit up. It would be extremely worthwhile staying at this luxurious hotel surrounded by exceptionally spectacular views. The infinity pool at the top of this hotel is accessible to hotel guests only, giving us another reason to splurge at this hotel.

Opening Hours:
9:30 AM to 10 PM
Entrance Fees:
Ticket prices: $23 SGD for adults. $17 SGD for children (aged between 2 – 12 years*) $20 SGD for senior citizens (aged 65 years and above)
Your ticket provides entry for an unlimited time so make the very most out of this memorable visit.
Also, you can buy food/drinks from the observation desk, but they are available at higher prices. If you don’t want to spend a few extra dollars just fill yourself up before you reach there.

Merlion Park
The Merlion Park is the prominent landmark of Singapore. It’s free to visit and is surrounded by few restaurants, cafes & souvenir shops. The merlion statue has a fountain of water falling from it’s own mouth. Unfortunately when we visited this place, there was no fountain of water coming out at that time and some maintenance work was going on. Nevertheless we managed to get a few good clicks from this iconic place of Singapore cause capturing memories makes a place more memorable.

Gardens By the Bay
Gardens By the Bay is a beautifully designed park having 25 towering man-made Supertrees and two cooled conservatories called the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest. The flower dome has flowers & plants from all over the world while the Cloud Forest is like a mini rainforest having a stunning waterfall and beautifully displayed plants. It’s amazing to see these man made conservatories preserving nature under a well maintained and organised architecture. It’s pretty cold inside these conservatories so make sure you carry something to keep you warm inside.
You can walk through the gardens which has lots of plant sculptures & trees. It’s an absolute bliss for all nature lovers. You can also ride a cart to go around if you want to avoid the heat during the daytime.

Opening Hours:
It opens from 5 AM to 2 AM daily. The two conservatories are open from 9 AM to 9 PM.
Entrance Fees:
Rates | Non-residents (Two conservatories) | Residents (One conservatory) |
---|---|---|
Adult | $28 | $12 |
Senior citizen(over 60) | $28 | $8 |
Child(3-12) | $15 | $8 |
For me it was a pleasurable experience visiting these iconic places in Singapore. One can just never get enough of the beauty of this city.
