You can view these fountains by getting a good place at the lake promenade or reserve a place at one of the restaurants surrounding the Dubai Fountains. You can also take a 30 minute ride in a traditional Abra (boat) at the lake and view the illuminated Dubai Fountains.

The Dubai Fountain show takes place from 6 PM to 11 PM with an interval of 30 minutes between each show.

Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo :

Take a trip to one of the largest aquariums in the world, the Dubai Aquarium. Located centrally at the Dubai Mall, this enormous aquarium is a home to 140 different aquatic species, more than 300 rays and sharks. It also has world’s largest collection of Sand Tiger Sharks. You can feed the fishes and also take a glass bottom boat ride that gives you an up close views of about 33000 marine species swimming below your boat.

Dubai Creek used to be an important part of Dubai that divided it into two sections Bur Dubai and Deira.     Pinning this post for later, Dubai has it all really these days, a wonderland in the middle of the desert. I think my kids would love to go to Dubai however I always think we would be best doing it as a stopover on the way to Europe from Australia. Need to keep saving for now though!

  • Dubai is such an insane place. I would totally love to ski there, for the sake of saying I have skied in Dubai. But dang are the prices high!! Still, where else can you combine a day on the slopes with a desert safari? Crazy! 😀 I’ll have to take myself there one day, it’s one of those places that you must experience once in a lifetime.

  • I’ve spent quite some time in Dubai for work in the past, but you managed to give ideas to do which I hadn’t done yet! Definitely will do them next time, and probably give the Burj Khalifa another go as well as last time the air was so full of sand particles I couldn’t see a damn thing lol!

  • I live in Dubai and I see you’ve pretty much covered the main stuff to do and see here. I am a little surprised to see Hub Zero on the list though, not a lot of people know about it or visit it! It’s pretty awesome for teenagers and kids, you could also include the various themeparks and waterparks as family activities to do here 🙂 I particularly love Dubai Parks and Resorts as well as Wild Wadi Waterpark. You did mention Aquaventure Waterpark at Atlantis which also is pretty cool!
